Jeff Marcum - Lead/Rhythm Guitar

Jeff started playing acoustic guitar around age 10 with his dad who was a banjo player as well as a guitar player. He showed Jeff 3 chords and they ventured on to play bluegrass music at all of the local taverns and toured the local scene for about 5 years when Jeff got his first electric guitar. He started listening to Skynyrd and other southern rock bands and soon bluegrass was behind him as southern rock took over full time. Over the next 30 years Jeff played with many bands - country, rock, southern rock - which inspired him to help form the Vicious Cycle band. “It’s been a fun ride.”

At 8 years old Bill’s older brother taught him the first song he learned on guitar - House Of The Rising Sun. From there it was history as Bill went on to jam with bands live since 1980 and hopes to do it for 50 more years. Bill joined Vicious Cycle founded by Cherokee Mike Edmonson almost 20 years ago. Cherokee is survived by his friends, bandmates, and crew. “A toast to those who can no longer hold the candle light, ROCK AND ROLL!”

The “Lawman” is the old man of the band. Became a member of VC in 2008. Now in the fifth decade of being a musician believes of course, that the bass is the most important instrument in any band, and should be played really loud! Long live the music and legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd!

Currently performing with classic rock groups Gypsy & Sky’s the Limit, he stays active in the Northern Ohio music scene. Gerhard is excited to be a part of the Vicious Cycle family, “tickling the ivory”, and paying tribute to rock-n-roll’s most famous southern band.

Amy Kay - Backing Vocals

It all started for Amy at a very young age. She’s always had a passion for music, singing and playing percussions. It’s been a big part of her life. She grew up in a family with a strong musical backgrounded that has attributed to her accomplishments today. Amy has great memories of getting together with her grandfather and two uncles that were in a barbershop quartet. They would sit around the piano and sing for hours. Once her talent was discovered in 2005 by one of the band members, Amy was introduced to, and joined the Vicious Cycle Band. She also contributed some studio time, recording with the well-known musician/songwriter Cletus Black of the Cletus Bland and the Revue Band. Her abilities are showcased on three of their cd’s. Amy enjoys traveling with the VC band and thrives on the energy that comes from the fans and loves those big crowds! She’s made many new friends throughout the country when touring.

Angie Hart - Backing Vocals

Angie was born into a musical family, her grandfather playing guitar and violin and her father playing guitar. While Angie was in elementary school she joined the orchestra playing her grandfathers violin and still plays today. Angie spent many weekends and family get togethers singing along to the songs her father played on guitar. Angie was raised primarily on classic rock, some of her favorites being Journey, Styx, The Eagles, and of course Lynyrd Skynyrd. As Angie got older and developed her ear for tone she became a great harmonizer to add the finishing touches to any song. She is honored to be another piece of the puzzle that is Vicious Cycle.
