“Vicious Cycle - A tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd”
In 2022 Vicious Cycle not only lost a member, we lost the soul, the Icon, the leader, and most of all “our voice”. A man who inspired each and every person in the band, every fan who came to see the band for its first 20 years, and every soul he touched. If you met Cherokee, you were instantly a fan, and a friend.
Cherokee and I started this band after years of being in a classic rock project which covered some Skynyrd songs. Many people asked, followed by promoters who approached us saying we should evolve into a tribute act. Over the upcoming years building what became one of the top tribute acts in the industry. With his passing we fought with the thoughts of ending the project, but one of the things he told me in his last days was to “not let VC die”. So after a year, we began talks again, found a new singer to revive the band and bring VC back to life. For the fans who begged us to not stop, we pledge to the thought to also use this as a tribute to my friend and late bandmate.
So VC is back, retooled with the same band that Cherokee left. Ready to carry the torch forward in his memory. So join me in the return of the great family which forms Vicious Cycle! Help us celebrate the great band Lynyrd Skynyrd! And help us keep Cherokee alive through great times and gatherings. He will be with us always, through every beat, every riff, and every tear. Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd, Long live Vicious Cycle, and most of all Long Live the memory of Cherokee Mike. Hell Yeah!!!! - T.
